Betclic — screen 1

Selected screens from the project archives. Original product recordings. Interface content is shown in its original language.

The context

With the studio, I supported Betclic’s team on the evolution of an established mobile product. The archives include a redesign exploration and a separate live experience bringing match content and community together.

The question

Scores, markets, live content and social interactions compete for attention. The design question is how to make the current context and available actions legible without losing the density people expect.

Design decisions

01 — Give the match a clear hierarchy.

The redesign screens explore football and tennis layouts: the match sets the context, followed by the available options and navigation. Colour and grouping help distinguish levels of information.

02 — Explore the relationship between live and community.

The live screens bring together a broadcast, match context, comments and reactions. They show another way of organising attention around a shared sporting moment.

03 — Work within an existing product.

With the team, the work combined reviewing journeys, exploring visual directions and prototyping. Evolving the experience meant taking existing habits and constraints into account.

What I took from it

A dense product becomes clearer when its hierarchy reflects what someone needs to understand at that moment.
